Tech stocks SELLOFF intensifies. U.S. semiconductor and technology stocks face HEAVY selling pressure as the Nasdaq 100 falls over 1%, extending its decline to 6% from its high just 10 days ago. The index tracks 100 major Nasdaq-listed non-financial companies, including U.S. tech giants. Yesterday, the Nasdaq 100 (NDX), Semiconductor Index (SOX) and S&P 500 Software Index all fell at least 2%, only the second such day in 2026. The Semiconductor Index is now in its 4th correction in 135 days, the most since 2002. The selloff comes as investors question massive AI spending, rising debt and uncertain returns, while hotter-than-expected U.S. PPI inflation raises fears of higher interest rates for longer.
