[Circle CEO: Plans to Expand into Approximately 40 Emerging and Developing Countries, Blockchain Entering Mainstream Scaling Phase] Foresight News reports, according to Reuters, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that Circle is making significant efforts to expand into approximately 40 emerging and developing countries. He noted that there is a growing spontaneous demand for stablecoins among individuals and businesses in regions such as Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Blockchain technology is transitioning from the early adoption phase to the mainstream scaling phase. Jeremy Allaire also mentioned that the 'GENIUS Act,' which will take effect in January next year, marks a watershed moment, as it will enable the existence of a legal digital dollar globally. The report also states that Circle's global expansion is supported by its $400 million acquisition of Tazapay and a $100 million strategic investment from Binance. As of the second quarter of this year, USDC's circulation volume increased by 19% year-over-year to $73.3 billion. Jeremy Allaire further noted that machine-to-machine transactions between AI Agents have driven the growth in USDC usage, but the rapid development of AI has also heightened security risks, posing increasingly severe threats to financial infrastructure providers.
