Every quarter, we used to wait for NVIDIA's earnings report, but 26 years later, the market has flipped—now everyone’s waiting for TSLA’s earnings report.
⏰ Tesla will release its Q3 2026 earnings report on October 21, 2026 (post-market, Eastern Time). So, @okxchinese 'Earnings Season Winner,' my guess is Tesla.
Based on already announced delivery numbers: 486,532 vehicles, about 5% above expectations, but still down 2.1% year-over-year. Energy storage at 13.7 GWh fell short of some expectations.
Market consensus:
EPS around $0.43–0.45 (down ~12–14% YoY)
Revenue around $27.8–28.1B (basically flat)
Key focus areas for the earnings report:
Automotive gross margin and operating margin (only 1.4% in Q2), whether EPS meets expectations, updates on Robotaxi/FSD, and CapEx and cash flow guidance. The delivery beat has already been priced in by the market; what truly determines the stock price is the quality of earnings.
Prediction reference: Revenue is highly likely to meet or slightly exceed expectations; there’s a small risk of an EPS miss, but expectations have already been lowered, so it might still come close. Recent history shows that an EPS miss tends to trigger a drop.
Current stock price is around $360, with a very high valuation (forward PE ~160x). In the short term, it’s all about profits, but in the long term, it’s about the AI/robotics narrative.
