StandX has shut down. Honestly, it’s a real shame—the product was top-notch, and the two founders were great people.
When it comes to launching tokens in crypto, timing, location, and people really matter. Take OpenSea, for example. If they had launched a token during the peak of the NFT craze, the market would’ve happily supported a $10 billion valuation. But now, even $1 billion feels overpriced to some.
The same logic applies to StandX. If they had launched their token during the hype wave around Aster, I think they could’ve easily opened with a $500 million to $1 billion FDV. Unfortunately, they missed that window. The market environment shifted, valuation expectations changed, and the founders decided it wasn’t worth launching anymore.
This is the brutal reality of crypto: no matter how good your product is, you might not get the perfect market window for it. Sometimes, missing it means waiting for an entire cycle.
Right now, the most important thing to watch is how the community points will be handled. After all, people invested significant funds, fees, and time to earn those points. With the project shutting down, the community has paid a heavy cost. Hopefully, the final $DUSD airdrop will satisfy everyone.
NeoSoul plans to airdrop tokens to the StandX community, directly taking over this wave of users and attention. For participants, this is definitely a good thing—getting airdrops from multiple channels. Let’s keep an eye on NeoSoul’s launch performance.
