🇫🇷 MASSIVE: France has prosposed taxing crypto-to-stablecoin gains at 31.4%, even if investors NEVER cash out to a bank account.
The proposal would make swaps into stablecoins classified as electronic-money tokens under EU rules taxable from January 1, 2027.
Moving into those stablecoins to escape market volatility could therefore trigger a tax bill.
The existing 31.4% default rate would apply to taxable profits, not the entire amount swapped.
Ordinary crypto-to-crypto exchanges would generally retain their tax deferral.
