According to a report by 404 Media on October 16 Beijing time, consulting giant Accenture has adjusted its internal policy for using Claude Enterprise. Starting October 1, the company will centrally cover AI usage costs of only $29 per month for each eligible employee, with any excess costs to be paid from specific project or team budgets. Internal notices obtained by 404 Media indicate that Claude's fees are calculated based on actual usage, and employees' access permissions will be periodically reviewed based on business needs and usage patterns. Some employees previously incurred monthly Claude usage costs ranging from $500 to $1,000, and some have reported that the new policy will significantly increase project costs. Others have stated that their access to Claude has already been revoked. Accenture responded by saying that the company continues to provide AI tools to employees and will allocate resources based on specific work requirements. This adjustment highlights the challenge of managing costs associated with the growing token consumption as enterprises scale up their deployment of generative AI.
