After watching today's Tesla launch event live, I’m left with just one thought: Tesla can really fly now! Back in the day, if someone told me cars could fly, I’d probably just laugh it off. Now the Roadster is literally flying in front of us. Suddenly, it feels like Musk’s greatest skill is bringing sci-fi concepts into reality bit by bit. But while the launch event is all about imagination, the earnings report still has to answer to reality. Tesla delivered 486,500 vehicles in Q3, about 5.3% higher than the market’s average expectations. However, last quarter’s revenue grew 26% year-over-year, while operating profit dropped 57%, and free cash flow recorded a negative $1.092 billion. So I’m not going to assume the earnings report is solid just because deliveries beat expectations. The real question this time is whether the delivery numbers can translate into gross profit and cash flow. The earnings report will be released after U.S. market hours on October 21, with the management Q&A scheduled for October 22 at 5:30 AM Beijing time. Coincidentally, OKX Prophet S3 also has a question: “Will Tesla’s earnings this quarter beat expectations?” You can use the free XP from the event to test your judgment. S3 runs until November 15 at 00:00 (UTC+8), with a total prize pool worth $250,000. If you want more than just guessing the outcome, OKX also offers tokenized U.S. stocks like XTSLA, supporting 24/7 trading. For Asian users, since the earnings report is released early in the morning, you don’t necessarily have to wait for the next U.S. trading session to express your views. Of course, XTSLA reflects Tesla’s stock performance but isn’t the same as directly holding Tesla shares. Also, pay attention to liquidity and spreads outside U.S. trading hours. Tesla has already shown everyone it can fly. Now let’s see if this earnings report can take TSLA flying too.
