WuTalk has learned that payment giant Stripe announced a partnership with multinational account service provider Plasma to jointly develop and launch a multi-currency stablecoin card. This product leverages Stripe's stablecoin card issuance infrastructure and aims to reduce cross-currency exchange friction, allowing users to directly spend in the corresponding currency they hold—for example, spending euros directly without converting to USD first. The service initially supports fiat currencies like USD, BRL, EUR, MXN, COP, as well as stablecoins such as USDC, OUSD, and compliant stablecoins under the 'GENIUS Act' regulations.
