[New York City Comptroller Urges Anthropic to Pause IPO Plans]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that New York City Comptroller Mark Levine stated in an interview that he has sent a letter to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, urging the company to pause its planned initial public offering (IPO). The letter calls on Anthropic to halt its IPO plans until it has fully and transparently addressed concerns related to AI safety, governance, and development raised by the company itself. Levine wrote that the company should focus on resolving these risks rather than advancing the IPO. Currently, New York City holds less than $10 million in investment exposure to Anthropic through private markets. (CNBC)
