[South Korean 'Crypto Trader' Jonber Kim Acquitted in First Trial Over 340 Billion Won Crypto Fraud Case]
According to South Korean media outlet Digital Asset, the cryptocurrency trader 'Jonber Kim' (transliteration, Park Mo), who was prosecuted for allegedly being involved in a crypto asset fraud case worth approximately 340 billion won (around $230 million), was acquitted in the first trial by the Seoul Southern District Court on October 15. The court ruled that although the defendant may have engaged in false promotional activities regarding the POD (Grape Coin) and ATT (Atube) projects, the prosecution failed to prove a causal relationship between these actions and individual investors being misled into purchasing tokens. Additionally, accusations of price manipulation and misappropriation of proceeds from the sale of Grape Coin were not sufficiently supported by evidence.
