[JPYC EX Cumulative Issuance Exceeds 10 Billion Yen and Launches on South Korean Exchange Upbit]
According to JPYC's official disclosure, the cumulative issuance of its issuance and redemption service, JPYC EX, surpassed 10 billion yen as of September 18. Its user base has expanded from individuals to domestic Japanese enterprises and overseas projects (this figure represents cumulative issuance, not the current circulating supply). On September 17, JPYC was listed on the South Korean exchange Upbit, enabling trading in three markets: KRW, BTC, and USDT. However, after the listing, the market price temporarily deviated from 1 yen.
Additionally, Netstars and Kaia DLT Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to integrate stablecoins circulating on Kaia into StarPay and other payment networks, which are used by approximately 700,000 affiliated stores. Mi&T's Osaka physical store received a subsidy from Osaka Prefecture for its JPYC payment pilot project, with plans to implement it in about five stores from November 2026 to March 2027.
