The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has initiated consultations on implementation guidelines and standards for the new law governing digital asset platforms and tokenized custody platforms, which will take effect on April 8, 2027. The proposed requirements cover applications or modifications to financial services licenses, client information disclosure, asset holding, transaction settlement, and net tangible asset standards, while aiming to streamline the process for existing licensed institutions to add new items. Feedback will be accepted until 2:00 PM Beijing Time on November 27.
