Wow, WSJ exposed this: During the time the White House crypto advisor was pushing the stablecoin bill, Tether sent over $6 million to a company he co-founded.
It wasn’t after the bill passed—they were moving money while the bill was being pushed ⬇️
Bo Hines co-founded and holds shares in the consulting firm Nxum, and Tether paid Nxum over $6 million.
He claimed he stepped back from daily operations, but during his tenure, he was still using Signal to discuss the bill with his partners.
July 2025: The GENIUS Act was signed.
August: He resigned.
September: He became the CEO of Tether’s U.S. stablecoin operations.
(The world’s largest stablecoin issuer hired the person who knows this bill inside out.)
