[Morgan Stanley CEO: Annual AI Spending Expected to Stay at $1 Trillion Over the Next 5 to 10 Years] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on October 15, Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick stated on Wednesday that he expects the development of artificial intelligence to face phases of bottlenecks and overbuilding, but large-scale investments will continue in the coming years. Pick also mentioned that the role of banks is to regulate the pace of AI capital expenditures—slowing down when the market advances too quickly and accelerating investments when necessary. He said, 'These investment scales are extraordinarily large; the growth of the U.S. economy and even the global economy is, to some extent, being driven by this AI capital expenditure cycle.' Pick added that he expects annual spending in the AI sector to remain at a level of 'around $1 trillion' over the next 5 to 10 years. JPMorgan Chase CFO Jeremy Barnum also stated on Tuesday that as the demand for capital expenditures driven by AI infrastructure development continues to grow, JPMorgan Chase is closely monitoring its risk exposure in the AI sector.
