[Iranian Parliament Speaker Discusses Strategy Toward the U.S.: Fight While Negotiating to Force the U.S. to Accept Demands] Golden Finance reports that on October 15, according to Tasnim News Agency, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated: Even if we negotiate with the U.S., reach an agreement, and sign documents with commitments made by the U.S., can this guarantee that the U.S. will no longer attack Iran? Without a doubt, the answer is no. Solely relying on war or escalating tensions cannot force the enemy to abandon threats and predetermined goals. The solution is to both fight and negotiate to establish lasting deterrence. We must fight with full force when necessary, turning military victories into political victories to secure the benefits, resources, and time needed to strengthen our capabilities. We need to replace the cycle of war, negotiation, and peace with a new model of war, negotiation, and deterrence. Before signing the memorandum of understanding, I had already said that the U.S. would not fulfill its commitments, so we designed it in two phases. First, we achieve strategic advantages through combat, and then we force the U.S. to accept the memorandum. Fighting and negotiating simultaneously does not mean endless war or perpetual negotiation; rather, it means using combat to put the enemy in a difficult position and forcing them to accept the legitimate demands of the Iranian people. Regarding the proposal put forward by the U.S., the U.S. President previously made commitments but has now violated them. The U.S. must be punished, change its behavior, and fully recognize that it must accept the legitimate demands of the Iranian people.
