[Federal Reserve Beige Book: Rising Energy Costs Transmitted to Supply Chain, Half of Districts Report Intensified Price Pressures]
Golden Finance reported that on October 15, a survey conducted by the Federal Reserve among contacts in various districts revealed that as energy prices continue to rise and spread across regions in the United States, half of the 12 Federal Reserve districts have reported elevated or worsening price pressures in recent weeks. The Beige Book released by the Federal Reserve on Wednesday indicated that many district businesses also mentioned inflationary pressures stemming from other commodities, tariffs, and insurance. The report stated: 'Businesses noted that diesel prices remain high, and fuel surcharges are transmitting increased costs throughout the supply chain.'
