This perspective is derived from a reference to the Anthropic engineering blog—Anthropic revealed that its internal code merge volume surged from approximately 2,500 times per day in May this year to over 30,000 times per day in September. The development infrastructure originally designed for human-scale operations has become a bottleneck, prompting a shift toward building an internal source code control system adapted to AI Agent scale.
