[Suspect in Multiple Kidnapping Cases of Cryptocurrency Holders Shot Dead After Release in France]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 14, according to Cryptoast, a suspect identified as F.A., allegedly involved in multiple cases of kidnapping and violent assaults targeting cryptocurrency holders, was shot dead inside a car in a parking lot in Nîmes, France, on October 11.
The 47-year-old suspect reportedly had 14 prior criminal convictions, including charges related to drugs, violent assaults, and illegal detention. In 2024, he was prosecuted for crimes including theft, kidnapping, gang affiliation, and torture. The victim in that case was a Dubai resident who had been lured to Paris and robbed of €130,000 and luxury watches.
Previously, the suspect was released from custody due to procedural errors during his detention. Local prosecutors are currently investigating the case as a suspected "gangland settling of scores," and the perpetrators remain at large and are actively being pursued.
