[Google Play Allows Users to Run Private AI Prototype Apps on Android Devices] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 14, according to TechCrunch, Google announced a new feature that allows users to directly run private personal applications on Android smartphones using a standard Google account, without the need to publicly publish them on the Google Play Store beforehand. These applications will not appear in Google Play's search or display listings and are limited to use by their creators. Users can write applications tailored to specific personal needs through Google AI Studio and run them locally on their devices, provided they comply with existing Google Play policies. Initially, this feature is only available to U.S. users aged 18 and above. Google plans to introduce a trusted friends sharing feature in the coming months and will allow popular private apps to be officially published in the store after passing trust and safety reviews. Additionally, Google Play has simultaneously updated its AI-powered personalized game recommendation engine, 'Game Finder,' and upgraded the app comparison feature of its built-in AI assistant, Ask Play, while further deepening its integration with Gemini.
