[Singapore Crypto Scam Losses Down 43% Year-on-Year, Coinbase Helps Block Over 18.9 Million SGD] According to a report by Golden Finance on October 13, the Singapore Police Anti-Scam Centre (ASC) released its mid-2026 Scam and Cybercrime Brief, showing that cryptocurrency scam losses in Singapore have decreased by 43% year-on-year, dropping from 114.9 million SGD to 65.5 million SGD. The ASC attributed this achievement in part to actions taken by industry partners, including the deactivation of 47,500 phone lines, 37,500 WhatsApp accounts, and 52,200 malicious websites, as well as investigations into over 2,900 money mules and scammers, leading to the prosecution of approximately 470 individuals. Additionally, Coinbase's Global Intelligence team collaborated with the ASC in four joint operations, identifying over 720 potential victims and helping to block potential losses exceeding 18.9 million SGD.
