[German Think Tank Warns: Restrictions on AI Training Data Access Could Lead to Annual Loss of €155 Billion for Germany]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 13, the German think tank IFO stated on Tuesday that if access to artificial intelligence training data becomes further restricted, Germany could face an annual loss of €155 billion (approximately $173.43 billion) in additional value. According to IFO research, by 2034, generative artificial intelligence could contribute €440 billion annually to Germany's economy. However, if access to training data is limited, this increase would be reduced by €155 billion. IFO expert Oliver Falck remarked, 'Anyone aiming to develop leading AI models in Europe should not impose unnecessary restrictions on obtaining training data. You can't have it both ways.' (Jin10)
