[Goldman Sachs: HBF Expected to Break Through AI 'Memory Wall,' Potential Market Size Up to $150 Billion] Goldman Sachs released a research report stating that as the demand for AI inference grows rapidly, insufficient storage capacity is becoming a significant bottleneck limiting computational efficiency. New NAND technologies such as High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) are expected to alleviate this 'memory wall' issue and significantly reduce AI infrastructure costs. The firm estimates that with GPU adoption rates reaching 15% to 50%, the potential market size for HBF could range from $40 billion to $150 billion. Goldman Sachs is optimistic about the technological leadership of SanDisk and SK Hynix in HBF, maintaining a 'Buy' rating for both companies. Samsung Electronics is also expected to benefit. In contrast, Micron, due to its business focus on DRAM and HBM, is less directly positioned to benefit and retains a 'Neutral' rating.
