[Singapore Crypto Scam Losses Down 43% Year-on-Year, Coinbase and Anti-Scam Center Help Block Over 18.9 Million SGD]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports: On October 13, according to Coinbase's official blog, the Singapore Police Anti-Scam Center (ASC) released its mid-2026 briefing on scams and cybercrime, showing that Singapore's cryptocurrency scam losses decreased by 43% year-on-year, dropping from 114.9 million SGD to 65.5 million SGD. ASC attributed part of this achievement to actions taken by industry partners, including shutting down 47,500 phone lines, 37,500 WhatsApp accounts, and 52,200 malicious websites, as well as investigating over 2,900 money mules and scammers, with approximately 470 individuals prosecuted. Coinbase's Global Intelligence team collaborated with ASC in four joint operations, identifying over 720 potential victims and helping to block more than 18.9 million SGD in potential losses.
