**[NVIDIA's Share of China's AI Chip Market Shrinks to 34%]** Golden Finance reported on October 13, citing Reuters, that an International Data Corporation (IDC) report shows NVIDIA's share in China's data center AI chip market will drop to 34% by the first half of 2026. Due to U.S. export restrictions limiting its product supply, Chinese domestic competitors, led by Huawei, are gradually expanding their market presence. IDC data reveals that in the first half of this year, NVIDIA's AI accelerator shipments in the Chinese market totaled 678,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 44%. AI accelerators are specialized chips used for training and running AI models. IDC stated that Huawei's AI accelerator shipments increased from over 300,000 units a year ago to 572,000 units, capturing 28% of the overall market share. Alibaba's chip design company, Pingtouge, holds 7% of the market share, followed by Cambricon (5%), Baidu's Kunlun Chip (4%), and Hygon Information (3%). Among the 11 Chinese chip manufacturers tracked by IDC, nine saw an increase in shipments compared to a year ago.
