[South Korea's KB Kookmin Card and Japan's SBI Holdings Collaborate to Explore Korea-Japan Stablecoin Payments] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on October 13, according to Kmaeil, South Korea's KB Kookmin Card and Japan's financial group SBI Holdings, among other institutions, signed a business cooperation agreement (MOU) to jointly advance the verification of artificial intelligence (AI) agent authentication technology and explore Korea-Japan cross-border payment models based on stablecoins. Under the agreement, the parties will test the AI agent identity authentication platform 'KYA Trust Gateway' and promote its integration with payment services such as KB Pay. Future plans include further exploring solutions to connect stablecoins and other digital assets held by Japanese tourists to South Korea's local merchant payment environment, covering aspects such as settlement and anti-fraud measures. Currently, the stablecoin payment service has not been finalized for commercialization, and its advancement will depend on the evaluation of technical validation results.
