More and more crypto exchanges are starting to shift their focus toward traditional financial markets. For someone like me who trades both U.S. stocks and crypto, the demand has always been clear: can we trade more assets on the same platform and reduce the cost of switching between accounts and funds? So when I recently saw @Bybit launch Bybit Stocks, I thought it was worth talking about. Here are a few points worth noting: 1. The barrier between crypto and U.S. stock trading is getting lower. In the past, if you wanted to trade U.S. stocks, you usually had to open a separate brokerage account, and funds had to be transferred between different platforms. Now, eligible users can directly access the real U.S. stock market through the Bybit App. The underlying brokerage service is provided by Infra Capital, which sets up corresponding brokerage accounts for users in the backend, so users don’t need to manage an additional independent trading portal. For investors who hold both U.S. stocks and crypto, this is definitely more convenient. Note: Infra Capital Limited is a financial services company registered in Mauritius and regulated by the local financial authority. It is also the securities brokerage partner for Bybit Stocks. Its role is closer to that of an Introducing Broker. 2. The first batch of stocks basically covers the current popular trading directions in the market. The initial offerings include popular stocks like NVDA, TSLA, BABA, SNDK, MU, and more. Especially NVDA, MU, and SNDK—they’re stocks I often follow when researching AI CapEx, storage cycles, and options flow. I think the selection of these stocks is quite targeted, as they’re companies with high market attention and active trading. For users who are already trading in the crypto market, this provides an additional entry point to traditional U.S. stocks. 3. The integration of TradFi and crypto is accelerating. This is the part I’m paying closer attention to. From U.S. Treasury RWA, tokenized stocks, to now directly accessing real U.S. stocks through a crypto exchange, the ways traditional financial assets are entering the crypto ecosystem are becoming increasingly diverse. It’s important to distinguish here: Bybit Stocks and the platform’s mStocks are different products. Bybit Stocks connects to the traditional securities market and involves actual brokerage accounts, while mStocks are independent tokenized products. In the long run, I believe competition among crypto exchanges will gradually extend to multi-asset trading. Whoever can offer a wider variety of trading options, better liquidity, and lower cross-market usage barriers will have a better chance of retaining trading users. Especially for people like us who focus on U.S. stocks, crypto, and macro markets, cross-market trading might become increasingly convenient in the future. ———————— This content does not constitute investment advice and is intended for users aged 18 and above.
