[Elon Musk Donates Over $276 Million to Republicans Since July, Becomes Largest Donor in U.S. Midterm Election History]
BlockBeats News, October 13: According to a report by The New York Times, since early July, Elon Musk has quietly contributed over $276 million to Republican groups and their super political action committees (PACs) to launch large-scale mobilization efforts, helping Republicans counter unfavorable conditions in the midterm elections. This massive sum makes Musk the largest donor in U.S. midterm election history.
To help Republicans retain their Senate majority, Musk donated a total of $158 million this summer to the "Senate Leadership Fund," one of the largest political donations in U.S. history. Musk also established significant Republican voter mobilization efforts through his super PAC, the "American Political Action Committee," which he founded in 2024. This summer, he donated over $76 million to the organization to build an extensive voter outreach program aimed at mobilizing hard-to-reach Republican voters.
During the 2025-26 election cycle, Musk has already donated approximately $366 million to federal committees, far exceeding his contributions of about $290 million during the 2024 election. According to sources familiar with the matter, he has also made additional undisclosed donations in both election cycles.
