I can't speak for other trading strategies, but over the years, I've summarized two strategies with relatively higher win rates.
First strategy: Short-term, light positions, specifically targeting panic.
I try to avoid trading during regular small pullbacks because the drop isn’t deep enough, and too many people are trying to buy the dip, which often leads to buying halfway down.
I prefer waiting for a deep pullback—when the market is filled with complaints, massive leverage positions are liquidated, and retail investors panic-sell.
At this point, if the price drops heavily but doesn’t hit new lows, or it breaks a key level but quickly recovers, I’ll consider entering with a light position to bet on an emotional rebound.
Second strategy: Long-term, heavy positions in batches, specifically targeting despair.
During prolonged downtrends, when the market shifts from panic to numbness, trading volume keeps dropping, no one’s talking about it, and no one wants to buy.
If the price repeatedly breaks previous lows but recovers, and even bad news can’t push it lower, it might indicate that selling pressure is weakening.
As long as the project’s fundamentals remain intact and token release pressure isn’t too high, I’ll consider gradually building a position in batches, then adding more once stability is confirmed.
Short-term trades aim to profit from panic rebounds, while long-term trades aim to profit from cyclical reversals.
Remember, panic doesn’t always mean the bottom, and numbness can still lead to further drops.
True experts don’t trade every day—they spend most of their time holding back, waiting for the right opportunity to strike!
