Former Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karpelès posted that he received a Ledger Nano X hardware wallet from Malaysia with its shrink-wrap packaging intact. However, upon opening it, he discovered a spy module hidden in the screen padding of the device, which was not easily noticeable when opening the casing. He shared comparison photos of the original device circuit board and the implanted module, noting that such implants have evolved from early hand-soldered circuits to circuit boards that are harder to distinguish from the original hardware. Karpelès is currently collecting photos of affected users' devices to confirm if similar implants exist and advises users to follow Ledger's official security guidelines. He clarified that this disclosure is his personal observation, and the screenshots provided do not yet prove that Ledger has officially confirmed the module's functionality or its connection to the recent CryptoBilis user fund loss incident. https://(wublock123.com)/news/former-mtgox-ceo-says-ledger-hardware-wallet-had-spy-module-69841
