Cosine and Mindao discuss the mechanism of hardware wallet disassembly and self destruction

Slow Mist founder Cosine stated that after the Ledger dealer incident, the hardware wallet's disassembly and self destruction mechanism has become an essential feature, otherwise there needs to be a mechanism to prove that the device is an official original genuine product. Mindao, the founder of dForce, believes that if the device is disassembled and self destructs, it cannot prove whether it has been modified. The detachable design can be verified against the circuit diagram; Mindao pointed out that the hardware integrity check guidelines provided on Ledger's official website are too hardcore for ordinary users.
