[Trump: The U.S. and Iran Are Engaged in Productive Discussions, No Attack on Iran Before Midterm Elections] Odaily Planet Daily News – U.S. President Trump stated: We are engaged in productive discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Let me make one thing clear to everyone: Despite Iran being in a very dire situation both economically and militarily, despite the sanctions remaining fully effective, and despite oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz at record volumes (22 million barrels just last night, none of which came from or was headed to Iran!), we will not attack Iran at any time before the U.S. midterm elections on November 3. Iran will not possess nuclear weapons.
