Since we first started measuring economies, GDP has only ever been able to grow three ways. Population growth, plus productivity growth, plus debt growth.
That equation is The Everything Code.
And it's what has left us in the mess we're in today. We have too few workers and too much debt. When productivity cant fill the gap, the only lever left is more debt... and the only way to carry that much debt is to debase the currency. That is why everything feels more expensive every year and why your savings never seem to keep up.
Except now, for the first time in history, we have a way out.
AI and robots change the equation itself. They add workers that dont age, dont retire, get cheaper every year, and add productivity on a scale we've never seen.
The catch is that it's now moving faster than society, politics or economics can adapt. Coherence breaks down. That is The Economic Singularity.
This is what my book, The Everything Code, charts. It starts with the framework itself, how debt and demographics got us here, moves through The Exponential Age and ends at The Economic Singularity. Everything Ive been working on for years, in one place and in order, so you can see why we have such a short window to position ourselves before the whole system changes completely.
It's out on November 3rd.
If you're planning to read it, I would be really grateful if you would consider pre-ordering. Pre-orders are what move the rankings, and it would mean a great deal to me.
Thanks!
