Is it a good time to short BTC now?
My answer: No❗️ Here's the logic and strategy:
(1) The selling pressure from bears isn’t actually that strong—it’s just that the bulls are too weak. The resistance above is significant, and after multiple failed breakouts, the price naturally dropped.
(2) Right now, it’s mostly retail investors and short-term profit-takers selling. ETF institutions had a net inflow of over $100 million just yesterday, and mid-sized whales are still accumulating Bitcoin.
(3) Bitcoin’s pullback is happening in a slow, grinding downtrend, not the kind of dramatic, waterfall-style crash we might imagine.
So, it’s not the time to short. You can wait for BTC to rebound to the 84K-85K range before entering a short position—that way, the risk-reward ratio and win rate are much higher.
If BTC doesn’t rebound and instead continues to drop directly, then just let it go. Stay on the sidelines and watch. Missing out is fine—there will always be more opportunities.
What’s truly wrong is shorting now, only to get stopped out or liquidated when the price rebounds, leaving you frustrated and wrecked. That’s when you lose both money and peace of mind.
This is my analysis and trading strategy.
