[Stripe Plans to Expand Stablecoin Card Services to Over 100 Countries by Year-End] According to CoinDesk, Stripe plans to expand its stablecoin card services to over 100 countries by the end of the year. Henri Stern, co-founder of Privy, a crypto wallet infrastructure company, has also taken on the role of head of Stripe's stablecoin and crypto business. Stripe's current stablecoin card clients include Kraken, Ramp, and Morse. Paymentscan data shows that stablecoin spending via cards last month reached approximately $1.2 billion, three times the amount from the same period last year. Stern stated that Stripe will remain independent of stablecoins and blockchain, noting that many projects currently use USDC. The company is also exploring tokenized deposits and DeFi use cases, though the majority of its efforts are still focused on stablecoins.
