According to Bloomberg, CME Group has paused the launch of its 24/7 tradable 10-barrel crude oil futures contract following opposition from industry participants and has withdrawn the related filing. Market participants are concerned that insufficient weekend liquidity could distort WTI crude pricing, while continuous trading would increase pressure on weekend staffing, commercial hedging, and after-hours margin calls. CME stated that the product was originally intended to provide a U.S.-regulated alternative to the 24/7 crude trading products already offered by domestic prediction markets and overseas platforms. https://(wublock123.com)/news/cme-pauses-24-7-crude-futures-after-industry-backlash-69473
