According to Chainalysis, the U.S. Treasury Department's OFAC has sanctioned a Hamas financing network accused of transferring over $2 million to Hamas through fake charities, cryptocurrency, and other channels. Key figure Saleem al-Zaq allegedly raised funds on social media under the guise of aiding Gaza civilians. His associates in France reportedly collected donations via organizations like Association Baraka and Ensemble C Mieux, deposited them into French bank accounts, converted them into cryptocurrency, and transferred them to wallets under his control. Chainalysis stated that on-chain analysis revealed that counterparties of the related addresses also moved funds to deposit addresses at other exchanges. These deposit addresses had previously received large sums from Hamas-linked addresses listed in seizure orders by Israel's NBCTF. https://(wublock123.com)/news/chainalysis-ofac-sanctions-hamas-financing-via-fake-charities-crypto-69461
