[Anchorage Digital Reportedly Lays Off About 17%, Valued at $4.2 Billion] Odaily Planet Daily reports that U.S. digital asset bank Anchorage Digital has reportedly laid off about 17% of its workforce. The company was valued at $4.2 billion earlier this year. If the global employee count remains at approximately 400 as of February this year, the layoffs would involve around 68 positions. CEO Nathan McCauley has informed employees of the layoff arrangements this week. In recent years, Anchorage Digital has expanded its regulated crypto business and engaged in stablecoin issuance, including participating in Tether's newly launched USD stablecoin, USAT. Earlier this year, the company also received a $100 million strategic investment from Tether. (Cointelegraph)
