Wu Blockchain has learned that Japan's securities firm SMBC Nikko Securities and Nethermind have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Uniswap Labs, Base, and Nyx Foundation to jointly develop a DeFi Gateway tailored for the Japanese market. The project plans to leverage Uniswap v4 Hooks to build a compliant liquidity pool framework, incorporating AML/CFT and investor protection mechanisms within the pools, while exploring AI-driven vaults, stablecoins, and RWA liquidity strategies. The project aims to be completed by mid-2027, with development progress shared with Japan's Financial Services Agency and other regulatory bodies.
