[Lido: MetaMask Staking Preventively Exits Lido Validators, stETH Holders Need Not Take Action] According to a report by Jinse Finance on October 1, Lido disclosed that following an investigation into an infrastructure breach incident, MetaMask Staking (formerly Consensys Staking) has preventively exited its Ethereum validators operating within the Lido protocol. The final batch of exits is expected to be completed by the end of October 7, 2026 (not fully withdrawn). Lido stated that the exited ETH will gradually return to the protocol through the exit, withdrawal, and re-entry cycles. Due to the extended entry queue, the process is estimated to take up to approximately 45 days. stETH holders are not required to take any action. Lido further noted that its mechanisms, including diversified node operators and a temporary reserve fund of over 6,750 stETH, are designed to mitigate disruptions to the protocol's normal operations.
