Sources familiar with the matter revealed that the core of this strategy is a smart home hub device codenamed J490. Apple also plans to release the first update to the HomePod mini since its debut in 2020, as well as the first new Apple TV set-top box since 2022. These products will also showcase Apple's newly developed Siri AI assistant, which has been in the works for years. The release of the upgraded Siri has been delayed multiple times, but these smart home devices are expected to highlight Apple's efforts to catch up in the field of artificial intelligence. According to insiders, the smart home hub device will feature a design with an approximately 6-inch square display and will be available in both wall-mounted and desktop versions.
