Robinhood announced this morning at the HOOD Summit that it’s launching perpetual contracts for U.S. users, but it’s using its own Robinhood Derivatives and Bitstamp, not Lighter. LIT’s previous surge was driven by market speculation that 'Lighter would provide the underlying support for Robinhood’s U.S. perpetuals,' but that expectation has now fallen through.
