🚨BREAKING: Trump officially wants a LEASH on AI, as a new document tells labs to CONTROL what their models can do.
The accord commits the biggest AI companies to "robust internal controls and layers of internal and external review," Trump said.
Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jensen Huang and Dario Amodei stood beside him as he announced it.
"It's almost like a constitution, in a way," Trump said.
But it's voluntary, and when asked if it's binding, Trump said: "I think it's morally binding."
He also says the White House is considering a committee of "maybe 10 people" to "watch over the whole enterprise."
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman did not attend, with president Greg Brockman representing the company.
Instead, OpenAI launched its new GPT-6.1 Sol model at its DevDay conference, which it says nearly matches its top model at one-fifth of the price.
