Latest update from Bitget: The withdrawal wave has officially begun!
After the recent security incident and the temporary suspension of withdrawals, Bitget has reopened BTC withdrawals.
As per the latest data:
- 9,585 withdrawal orders have been completed
- A total of 4,098 BTC successfully withdrawn!
At current prices, this means over $300 million worth of BTC has been withdrawn from the exchange in a short period of time.
But what’s really worth noting is this—
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated:
“User assets will be fully protected.”
She also promised to use company funds to replenish the Protection Fund with over $300 million within a week.
Before the incident, Bitget’s Protection Fund in August had an average size of $382 million, peaking at $441 million.
The real stress test starts now.
BTC withdrawals are back,
ETH, USDT, and other assets are being reopened in phases. According to Bitget’s official timeline:
- BTC: 9/28
- ETH: 9/29
- USDT: 9/30
- Other tokens/fiat/P2P: expected to resume on 10/2
The true credibility of an exchange isn’t revealed during calm times.
It’s revealed after something goes wrong—
Can users get their money out?
