[Data: Bitcoin exchange supply decreased by 35,800 units last week, ETF inflows driving supply tightening] BlockBeats news, on September 29, Santiment Intelligence posted that approximately $2.4 billion in Bitcoin spot ETF inflows last week drove BTC off exchanges, signaling signs of supply tightening in the market. Santiment data shows that between September 20 and September 27, BTC supply on exchanges decreased by approximately 35,800 units, dropping to 1.325 million units, with net flow data aligning with this downward trend. In contrast, the previous week (September 13 to September 20), the number of BTC on exchanges increased by nearly 20,000 units. Over the two weeks combined, approximately 15,900 BTC left exchanges, though the current exchange supply remains higher than all levels seen in July. Notably, on September 22 alone, BTC supply decreased by approximately 26,700 units, roughly double the usual daily outflow, indicating that this change was not merely caused by address reclassification. Santiment stated that over half of the decline in BTC supply on exchanges last week had already seen a reverse change in the prior week. ETF fund flows are an important contextual factor influencing recent BTC supply changes. [Original link]
