[Binance's Token Delisting Speed Accelerates Significantly in 2026, FDV and OI Reflect Delisting Risks Better Than Trading Volume]
BlockBeats News, September 27: Recent statistics from IOSG show that as of August 11, 2026, Binance has delisted 42 spot tokens and 28 USDT-margined perpetual contracts within the year. The number of spot delistings has surpassed any full year since 2022, with an average of one delisting announcement every 28 days, a significant acceleration compared to 52 days in 2025. The delisting logic for spot tokens and contracts also shows divergence: the median lifespan of delisted spot projects increased from 4.1 years in 2022 to 5.1 years in 2026, while for contracts, it dropped from 1.3 years to 0.8 years. Among the contracts delisted this year, 23 were launched in 2025.
IOSG analysis indicates that Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) and Open Interest (OI) are better indicators of token delisting risks than trading volume. In 2026, the delisting rate for spot tokens with an FDV below $10 million reached 49%, while no tokens with an FDV exceeding $100 million have been delisted. For contracts, the delisting rate for those with OI below $1 million was 31%, while no contracts with OI exceeding $20 million have been delisted. In contrast, the correlation between trading volume and delisting risk is weaker, as some contracts with relatively high daily trading volumes were still delisted.
Additionally, issuance channels within the Binance ecosystem do not guarantee long-term listing. Among the delisted contracts this year, 63% originated from Binance Alpha, and 11 of the 42 delisted spot tokens were issued through Launchpool or Launchpad. [Original Link]
