Probably the biggest move by Ondo recently—BlackRock has developed portfolio strategies for Ondo, launching tokenized baskets of stocks and ETFs. Currently, there are 3 tokens available: **BLKHIon High Yield:** Mostly bonds/credit assets, earning interest and spreads. **BLKDIGon Diversified Growth:** A mix of stocks and bonds. **BLKGRWon High Growth:** Stocks and high-volatility assets like Bitcoin. What sets these apart is the periodic automatic rebalancing based on strategy, executed via smart contracts, making them different from regular index products. For example, BLKHIon includes 9 underlying assets, primarily bond ETFs from BlackRock/iShares, while BLKGRWon is stock-heavy with a 5% allocation to BTC. Another advantage is the amplified benefits of on-chain real-time settlement, composability, and 24/7 transferability compared to traditional markets with T+1 settlement and redemption requiring authorized participants. For Ondo, this signifies that its future is no longer just as a stock tokenization platform but as an emerging on-chain asset management platform. The official documentation also clearly states that each portfolio will charge a management fee. Moving forward, it’ll be interesting to watch the growth of these tokens, such as whether BLKHIon can capture demand for stablecoin-based yield products. Currently, these are only available to eligible non-U.S. investors. This content is supported by @Ondo and is not investment advice.
