Why haven’t Chinese FTX creditors received their compensation yet? FTX has already distributed billions of dollars to creditors, but some Chinese creditors still haven’t received their payments. The issue isn’t that their claims were denied or their identity verification failed—it’s that they can’t select a payment channel in the final step. This is the case for addresses in mainland China and Macau. FTX only recognizes three payment providers: BitGo, Kraken, and Payoneer. In step 8, creditors need to choose one of these providers to receive their funds, but when mainland addresses open the dropdown menu, it’s blank—none of the three options are available. In other words, the claims have been approved, and the funds are allocated to the creditors, but they can’t actually receive the money. This is no small issue. Of the funds tied up in restricted regions, China accounts for 82%. Over 300 Chinese creditors have previously joined forces to oppose this situation. What’s even more concerning is that FTX has stated that after the July 31 distribution round, if payment provider registration isn’t completed within six months, the claim rights may expire. Based on the timeline, the deadline is around the end of January next year. What @qredaxclaim is doing is simple: they’re purchasing these stuck FTX claims, becoming the new claim holders to receive the distribution, while the original creditors get cash without needing to change their address or worry about the January deadline. Here are a few points I think are worth noting: 1. They offer up to 95% of the claim’s face value, with no upfront fees. 2. They use the SAC claim transfer agreement and register it publicly with Kroll, so anyone can verify it. 3. They provide communication in Chinese and support payouts in USDT or BTC, typically processed within a few business days. Even if you’re not planning to sell your claim right now, you can follow this account—it’s almost daily tracking FTX’s distribution progress and related issues. If you’re an FTX creditor struggling to figure out how to receive your compensation, this might be an option worth exploring. Whether or not to sell your claim is entirely up to you.
