Bitget CEO: $350M theft likely linked to North Korean hackers On September 24, Bitget discovered unauthorized fund transfers from several hot wallets. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen @GracyBitget stated that the team identified certain IP addresses whose VPN usage patterns matched previous activities of a DPRK-related organization, leading them to believe this attack is 'very likely' connected to North Korean hackers. She also mentioned that the attackers did not obtain private keys for Bitget's hot wallets, warm wallets, or cold wallets, but instead breached the exchange's internal systems and directly transferred funds from there. Bitget previously announced that its User Protection Fund has surpassed $464M, and the company claims this fund is sufficient to cover the losses from this incident. Source: Bitget
