Singapore Credit Card Theft Handling Guide I wrote this article almost 50 minutes before it was published, and the reason why it took so long was because my credit card was stolen. Yes, I have been using my credit card for 20 years, and this is the first time I have encountered a situation of theft and fraud. If it weren't for the arrogance of criminals, I might have been kept in the dark without realizing it. When I was writing this tweet before, I suddenly received a text message from DBS, saying that my card had been banned due to frequent transactions. At that time, I was coding and couldn't buy anything, so I started checking. It was only after checking that I found out that my credit card had been stolen since early August this year. Since the beginning of August until now, the person who stole my card has used four different companies to make purchases. Because it is a credit card, and they are all small amounts, about ten or so new coins, they did not push it to me. I don't know, and when I returned the August and September credit cards, I didn't look carefully and paid them back. About 500 new coins are stolen and brushed every month, and I haven't calculated it in detail. The difference is not very large. This is very important, and I believe it's not just me. Many friends also use credit cards, so be sure to pay attention to your bills. I just didn't pay attention to them because they were within the approximate range every month, which led to them being used for a long time. Since it started in early August, it's difficult to find where my credit card information was stolen because the card has already been frozen, so I'm not very worried. I was planning to see my bank advisor tomorrow to handle it, but at this time, a payment from Vietnam came over and I had to be careful. After my card was frozen, there was still a payment, but it required my approval. I refused directly and then called DBS. DBS provided thoughtful Chinese service, which I was quite happy about. However, the result was all English service, possibly due to the night shift. Fortunately, my English was also decent. After explaining it clearly, the bank staff directly cancelled the card. After cancellation, it's okay. Then it's about dealing with the stolen amount that has already been paid before. DBS hasn't given me a clear explanation yet, but because the three companies from which the money was transferred are all legitimate companies, two are in the AI industry and one is in the gaming industry, there is a high possibility of recovery. The fees from these three companies should be refunded to me. I am not responsible for those that are still pending (waiting for confirmation) in the past two days, but for those that I have already paid, DBS will handle the refund. Fortunately, the loss is not significant, but it is still very troublesome. So friends must pay attention to protecting their cards and try not to spend money in inexplicable places. It's best not to leave their sight when using the main card. Just now, I calculated that I went abroad before it was stolen, and I don't know if it was a problem abroad. Be vigilant.
