SlowMist and OKX security researchers reported that the FomoPeek 1.1 and 1.2 versions, released on September 9 and 12, contained malicious modules capable of escaping the iOS sandbox to access private keys, mnemonic phrases, and Keychain data from other apps. These components were removed in the 1.3 version released on September 17. The incident is allegedly linked to the theft of nearly $580,000 USDT. Salus estimates the stolen amount to be approximately $579,900 USDT. Binance, OKX, Gate, Bitget Wallet, and Rabby have issued warnings to users.
